Re: Can we get a sticky posted in here!
uuuumm! some reference settings would still be great..., it is actually exactly what I searched that brought me here :) - with detailed comments like above, I'd find it very useful to have a basic idea, even while my hot end warms up its own unique way, just a general reference even proportionally ...

would be very nice to make a rostock build how-to wiki style, wiki-wars would be for the better

Thank you edward
I am glad that software did not do this for me, it's the best way to learn. I finally get it!

Delta Radius - Impossible
XYZ endstops are all calibrated, but when I run: g28 g0 f8000 x0 y0 z0 Z is at least 2-3mm above print bed. While all towers are grubbing paper. So technically adjusting Delta Radius should fix it, but changing "#define PRINTER_RADIUS 197.40" up/down (tried 180-280) does not seem to have any effect ...

Re: wipe before retract - stomping sound?
thanks Karl,
it appears I may be having some other calibrating issues that may be causing this.
I will work on that, and try wipe again, if it keeps "kicking" I'll isolate gcode causing it and will report back.

not sure what to calibrate
Trying to print some tracks, and the holes fail.. ABS, tried different speeds. tempteratures, cooling..
Also, the damage is worse as i print more over a larger area... almost as if end stops are off -- but i checked, and that's not the case.
What is causing this?
Thank you.

wipe before retract - stomping sound?
If "Wipe Before Retract" is enabled in Slis3r, rostock max makes a kicking bumping sounds once in a while.. I can't seem to be able to track source of this sound, -looks like it happens while some retracts when nozzle is lifting up. Entire printer vibrates with those kicks... Yet, disable wipe on ...

Re: Heat bed not getting hot enough
jdevmiller 95c is sorta high already :) you wanna cook your part? especially if you have the new onyx heat bed, it's big surface - cools fast too, I failed to get Onyx above 100c myself, and it takes a long time, having a heat gun will speed things up. But now I find no reason to go above 60-70c ...

Re: hot end touching the print and deforming it
oh ,thank you edward and Glacian22!!!
Glacian what do you mean "print something else at same time" as in other peaks of your part?
Also, when you say that moving hotend away -while retract?
Should I be also playing with flow/speed control multiplier while print?
Thanks.

hot end touching the print and deforming it
Hi! Using Repetier Host /w Slis3r RostockMAX ABS 1.75 @ 220c heat bed 70c 0.2 layers, w/retract I can see the nozzle in hotend touching the print and it looks mushy. cooling helps, i even went as far as hooking up air compressor....... It seems to print fine until part becomes narrower, under 1cm ...
